He finished the comic! Woo! It was very cool, beginning to end. The comic is VERY unique. You should go read it.
I've been wanting to draw The One Electronic for a while now... maybe I'll do one soon. I'll have to put Rice Boy and Gerund in it too... and maybe the Bleach Beast also... you know, as soon as I'm done with the twelve other projects I want to do.

BRAND NEW RANCH CHINCHILLA FUR SCARF 40" WOMEN
I, um, didn't know that anyone used CHINCHILLA fur in clothing. I eat meat. I wear leather. I do feel hypocritical for feeling shocked by this... but seriously, how can anyone look at this and think "I'm going to SKIN you and WEAR you"????

RAWR. Apparently there's some type of bug, glitch or general complication when you order phone and internet from AT&T through their site. Despite the fact that you get a CONFIRMATION email saying that both services are ordered... the internet package may or may not have actually been ordered at all.
When the day came and went that our self installation package was supposed to arrive, I gave them a call (on the phone line that I ordered on the exact same day as the internet) and asked about, only to be told it was not ordered and that the soonest we can get it is the 14th. UGH!
At least it's ordered NOW... and we happened to find that one of our neighbors network connections is not secured.
I have a pretty sizable art dump to post, so yay!

We have a new phone line now and we've ordered a self installation DSL package, which was supposed to be here yesterday, but still isn't. Sometime between now and 6pm, a DirectTech guy is supposed to come over and install our service/ HD receiver. Once he does, our internet will die since DirectTV and Comcast can't share a line.
So, uhm, I might be missing for a while. I can go down to the cafe and use their wifi to check on things, but they close their doors at 11pm... so no late night chat sessions until that package gets here. Dammit.

So last night's class was a blast. It was small. I think only 8 people showed up. There were probably many people exhausted from the seminar. The dojo seemed downright roomy after having nearly fifty aikidoka in it over the weekend.
I thought I was going to be really tired after wards because of the seminar, but by the end of class, I was totally full of energy. It was crazy. It might have had something to do with the excitement of participating in a randori as an attacker... and then participating in a randori as the defender! Holy crap! Have no idea what randori is? Try watching this video.
I thought I would be totally nervous about my first randori, but I wasn't at all. I was only going to be as good as I could possibly be as a student of only three months. I know I was muscling my two attackers out of the way too much. My legs were numb from sitting seiza watching everyone else practice. At one point during the randori, I stumbled and fell, but I'm not embarrassed. I did what I could. I can't wait to try it again... hopefully with fresh legs.
During the line-up at the end of class, Mata Sensei asked if anyone could tell him what shugyo meant. No one else seemed like they knew, so I stuck my hand up in the air. Belrose Sensei made a guess, saying "body, mind and spirit?" Then Mata Sensei called on me and I said "positive training spirit?"
He said, "Ehhh... that's a text book definition." and went on to describe it as being a little different for each person. Everyone has their reason for being an aikidoka. I won't go into boring detail, but his lecture really spoke to me. I have my reasons for being there. It's a personal test for me. I left class feeling very positive and rejuvenated.
In non-aikido news, our stimulus check was deposited in our bank account! Yay! We killed a signature loan and the credit card last month and were left a little tight with nine days before the next pay day. We need groceries and I was wondering how we were going to pay for them. So yay to not being tight anymore!
I will now attempt to write that post that I promised a certain couple of friends YESTERDAY.
